Curious minds welcome – research highlights, and reflections delivered to your inbox.
I’ve set myself the perhaps slightly eccentric goal of telling the stories of as many telescopes as I can, by visiting them, learning about their history, their context and current research, and sharing through writing and stories, what they reveal along the way.
I share the stories of my research and of the telescopes I visit, on Substack and other social media.
But most of all, I love bringing all those stories together in a newsletter, delivered straight to your inbox.
At Future Based, we had over 800 subscribers and sent out a newsletter twice a year. That’s the kind of rhythm I’d like to follow again, not too often, but once every quarter: a collection of stories, telescope updates, and perhaps a few excerpts from recent talks. No spam, just thoughtful storytelling.
Does that sound like something you would enjoy?
And do you, like me, sometimes wonder about the future of social media (Substack included)?
Then feel free to subscribe.

I fund my travels and research through my freelance projects, an amazing combination, if you ask me, because my work, my projects, my research, and my travels all feed each other with inspiration and enthusiasm.
My research and travels are fueled by countless cups of coffee shared with scientists and artists, let’s put it this way: Coffee keeps the conversations (and ideas) flowing. If you’d like to support my work, or give a token of appreciation, you can literally buy me a coffee through Ko-Fi.
